Solar tiles require a pitch angle of 14-15 degrees or more, making them unsuitable for flat roofs. Although solar panels usually have the same limitation because they are typically installed parallel to the existing roof, they can be angled using frames on flat roofs or ground installations. This isn't possible with solar tiles.
