Prepare cables and connect as described in the following table : StorEdge LG Chem Recommended cable type Connection Connection method to the battery (min-max cross section) Unit StorEdge Connection Unit connection connection Inverter with MC4 connectors (Figure 14): Connect to the BAT IN connectors.
Switch on the inverter AC. Activate the inverter using the SE card. Perform pairing when the modules are exposed to sunlight. Switch the inverter ON/OFF switch to OFF. If not already OFF, switch OFF the StorEdge Connection Unit switch (for StorEdge inverter). Switch the inverter ON/OFF switch to OFF.
The inverter may be connected to the m onitoring platform via LAN or by using a Z igBee Gateway system or a C ellular Plug-in. Alternatively, you can use RS485 chain (bus) connection to connect m ultiple SolarEdge devices to one inverter that is already connected to the server, in a master/slave configuration.
For inverters with a StorEdge Connection Unit, connect the grounding wire to the grounding bus-bar in the StorEdge Connection Unit. 1. Designate a single inverter as the connection point between the RS485 bus and the monitoring platform. This inverter will serve as the leader inverter. 2.
